Blood Cancer Awareness , Symptoms And Treatment :

Blood cancer along with another disorder which is both painful and deadly is the toxic shock syndrome is a deadly disease. Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) although carries symptoms like blood cancer is not actually a malignant disease but is equally deadly.

The TSS is a disease that is caused due to bacterial toxins in the blood. The reason or cause of this disease is very simple, a deadly bacterial infection. This disease mainly spreads from a strain of Staphylococcus. It was first seen among small children but was properly observed when an epidemic of TSS broke out.

The symptoms of TSS are generally mild to high fever reaching temperatures more than 38.9 degrees Celcius. This is often accompanied by confusion, decrease in blood pressure etc. Symptoms similar to sunburn like rashes appearing on mouth, palms and soles of feet etc. Other symptoms like nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea etc. may also accompany the fever.

TSS is a life threatning disease and any person who is suffering from symptoms similar to what mentioned above with persistance of symptoms must immediately be rushed to a hospital for medical assistance.

Cure of Toxic Shock Syndrome :

* Anti biotic treatment.
* Symptom based treatment like dialysis for kidney malfunction and Oxygen treatment for breathing disorder.

Blood cancer on the other hand is a malignant or cancerous disease which is broadly classified as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Blood cancer is the disease involving the lymphatic system, the blood and the bone marrow.

Leukemia is the most common type of blood cancer, in which the count of WBC’s are far more than the normal count. Lymphoma is a condition where lymphatic system is involved. Finally myeloma is the cancer that is associated with the blood plasma.

The Symptoms of blood cancer :

The symptoms of blood cancer are fatigability, breathlessness and overall body weakness. There can also be bruising for small injuries alongwith severe bleeding. Fever is also a symptom recurring at night along with heavy sweating. Other factors like nausea, abdominal pain, anorexia, confusion and headaches are also some common symptoms of blood cancer.

Blood Cancer Treatment :

Blood cancer is treated in a similar manner as other cancer. Most famous techniques include chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
While the treatment will last for days and months and the cure is not guranteed. In this scenario, medical care along with supportive care is necessary for the patient.
